What is included when I buy AirBreak?
You will receive:
- A fully assembled AirBreak platform including all air wedges, hinges, the automatic ball returner and the ball stop barrier
- A putting mat that rolls out onto the platform packaged in a drawstring bag
- A stand-on podium and two pairs of risers for adjusting the height of the podium
- A printed user guide
You will also receive access to the PuttOUT Green-Reading App.
Do I have to assemble AirBreak myself?
The AirBreak platform comes fully assembled. This means that on delivery all you need to do is unfold the base, unpack the pumps, unroll the mat, place it on the base and you're good to go!
How big is AirBreak?
When unfolded, AirBreak is 67cm (26") wide (the putting mat is 60cm/2ft wide) and 240cm (8ft) in length. The podium is 40cm (16") wide and 60cm (2ft) in length.
Can I fold AirBreak away?
Yes. AirBreak has been designed to conveniently fold away. When the base is folded up and the mat is rolled up, it's footprint will be 82cm (2.7ft) in length and 30cm (1ft) in depth and 67cm (2.2ft) in height.
How heavy is AirBreak?
AirBreak typically ships in two boxes, one box containing the putting mat and a second box containing the platform, podium and other accessories. The combined weight of both boxes is approximately 12.3kg / 27lbs. The total unboxed weight of all AirBreak components is approximately 11kg / 24 lbs.
Can I stand on AirBreak while using it?
You cannot stand on the AirBreak platform while using it. Instead, you stand on the podium at the side of the AirBreak platform. The air pockets used to raise and lower the AirBreak platform have a load bearing capacity of 180kg / 395lbs and so they typically they should not break if you or someone else accidentally stands on the platform. However, it is important to note the AirBreak platform is not designed to be stood on and children should be supervised when using AirBreak to ensure they do not stand on it.
What will I do if one of the parts in my AirBreak gets damaged?
AirBreak has been designed with durability in mind and used as intended all components should last for a long time. If you do manage to damage part of your AirBreak, all parts are replaceable and we will be selling spare parts via our website.
What is the maximum slope AirBreak can create?
AirBreak can create up to an 8% side slope (i.e. left-to-right or right-to-left). AirBreak can create a continuous uphill or downhill slope (i.e. along the whole length of the platform) of up to 3%. AirBreak can also create uphill or downhill slope of up to 8% across a single platform panel.
How do I access the AirBreak green-reading app?
iPhone users - the AirBreak green-reading app can now be downloaded for free from the iOS App Store here. This is a free-to-use app for all golfers. Whether you have purchased AirBreak or not, you are able to download, start measuring your breaking putts and become a better green-reader!
Android users - rest assured we are working hard on the Android version, which will be available shortly. In the meantime learn how you can use an alternative here.
Can I use AirBreak as a left-hander?
Yes! AirBreak can be used by both right and left handed golfers. Just place the podium on the opposite side and start putting.
Can the podium be set to match the slope at the beginning of the putt?
While the podium has four levels of adjustability so that you are always at the same height as your putt, it doesn't have specific slope adjustment, so when stood on, the surface of the podium is flat.
